Stephanie Y. Brownlee is a paralegal for the firm, currently working in the real estate and transactional areas. Ms. Brownlee has extensive experience in both residential and commercial real estate. Ms. Brownlee also has substantial, technical and practical experience in the development and operation of affordable housing and low-income housing tax-credit properties.

Ms. Brownlee is certified in Low-Income Housing Tax-Credit management, is a Certified Occupancy Specialist, and is a member of the Midwest Affordable Housing Association, the Chicago Association of Realtors, the Illinois Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Realtors.  Ms. Brownlee currently holds an Illinois Real Estate Broker’s license, and is well-versed in property management in distressed areas, including tenant and management certification and compliance.

Ms. Brownlee is familiar with the management and operation of projects involving multiple layers of financing, including projects involving the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, the Illinois Housing Development Authority, the City of Chicago, Department of Housing, the Chicago Housing Authority, CHAC, the Indiana Housing Finance Authority, and the City of Gary, Indiana.  Ms. Brownlee also has helped close numerous projects involving various subsidy structures, including grants and procedures for affordable housing for various programs offered by the City of Chicago, including the New Homes for Chicago program.
